💫 Below are some things I’ve worked on for myself and other brands/organizations ⭐️
MakeSpace (Summer 2019)
MakeSpace is a storage company with a majority millennial audience. I kept this in mind during my internship, where I was responsible for the company’s social media. I decided to spice up a seemingly boring industry by highlighting themes of open spaces, the struggles that resonate with small space urban-dwellers, and the connection between one’s living space and one’s mental state. I strived to keep the social media fun, but relatable. The brand uses green for their marketing materials, so I implemented this to reflect that, along with the sentiment of boundless or sprawling space that’s associated with the outdoors. I increased their engagement rate by 40% in my three months there. Click through the slideshow below!

I think for several reasons, we’ve been reaching for the past. The future is ~uncertain~ at the moment. This makes the past, a time already set in stone with no surprises, quite a comfort. And regardless of a pandemic, we all get those warm fuzzy feelings when we think about our grandma making her classic cookies or favorite recipe. Perhaps we all long for the innocence and simplicity of that time. I am trying to reflect that in my new baking project, where I’ve been making old family recipes and baking from vintage cookbooks. Just recently I made 200+ cookies for Valentine’s Day orders, all the money donated to The Loveland Foundation.
